· Dr. Ghazarossian has held successful executive, R&D, and operational roles in large and start up companies with 5 M&As and 1 IPO to date.
· His corporate experience spans across medical device, biopharmaceuticals, bio-analytical devices, immunodiagnostics and cell-based technology sectors.
· He has held positions in the high technology healthcare sector in the Silicon Valley for over 35 years: Syntex Diagntotics, Molecular Devices, Biometic Imaging, Vascular Therapeutics, FlowMedica, StemCor, Neurofluidics, and Ablative Solutions.
· Dr. Ghazarossian’s expertise includes identification of new product opportunities, starting up and operating both new and existing companies, securing financing, strategic planning, new business and market development, management of intellectual property, and operations.
· He is an inventor on over 25 US patents covering immunodiagnostics, chemicals, medical devices.
Cary J. Reich, PhD. Co-Founder, CTO
· Dr. Reich has held senior management positions at Allergan, Forsight Labs, Inamed Corporation, Calhoun Vision, Baxter Healthcare, Fusion Medical, and Chiron Vision.
· During his tenure at Forsight Labs, 5 companies were successfully spun out: Transcend (acquired by Alcon); Forsight VISION2 (acquired by QLT); Nexis Vision (refractive licensing deal); Forsight VISION4 (acquired by Roche); and Forsight VISION5 (acquired by Allergan.)
· Over 35 years of experience in the development and commercialization of medical devices and pharmaceuticals, including expertise in compound development, materials, regulatory strategy and technology collaborations.
· He is an inventor on over 85 US patents covering ocular devices, biomaterials, surface coatings and surgical sealants.
Shravanthi Reddy, PhD. COO
· Dr. Reddy has successfully brought new concepts to market as an executive leader of medical device startups; she has grown companies from conception to market entry by raising non-dilutive and venture capital funding, building R&D programs, running joint development programs with strategic players, and overseeing a team of expert consultants spanning clinical, regulatory, technology, and market expertise to execute product development, clinical testing, and regulatory approval successfully for multiple products.
· She is an inventor on 15 patents spanning ophthalmology devices, medical technology, and biomimicry; she is an author on over 50 peer-reviewed publications in applied physics, microfluidics, microbiology, and clinical translational medicine.
· Dr. Reddy received her Chemical Engineering degrees from Princeton University (BSE) and the University of Texas (PhD).
J. Andy Corley, Board Member
· Mr. Corley has an extensive 40 + year history in the eye care industry. After starting his career at Allergan, he joined American Medical Optics and later co-founded Chiron Vision.
· As the CEO of eyeonics, he led the creation of the premium channel for cataract surgery. He subsequently served as the President of Bausch & Lomb Surgical Division. In 2011, Mr. Corley formed Yelroc Consulting, focusing on all aspects of building companies.
· He currently serves on the boards of numerous ophthalmic device and pharmaceutical companies.
Tom Hoster, BSE, MBA. VP, Finance
· More than 40 years of finance experience, including 15 years in banking in New York City and 25 years in Silicon Valley, with the role of Chief Financial Officer of eight Silicon Valley start-ups in technology and medical devices over the past 20 years; Mr. Hoster took @Road public in 2000.
· Mr. Hoster has received an Electrical Engineering degree from Princeton and an MBA from Stanford.
Mark Packer, MD. Chief Medical Officer
· Dr. Packer is an Internationally recognized leader in ophthalmology and is an author of original research establishing innovative techniques and groundbreaking technologies. He is widely sought for his clinical, medical, and regulatory expertise in ophthalmic drugs and devices.
· Dr. Packer serves on editorial boards of numerous vision care journals, is a member of key national organizations, and is directly involved in high-visibility clinical studies.
· Dr. Packer is a graduate of Harvard University and the University of California, Davis School of Medicine.
Félix Vega, VMD. VP, Preclinical and Medical Sciences
· More than 30 years in preclinical research as well as clinical practice, enabling an integrated approach to preclinical evaluation of medical devices and pharmaceuticals.
· Dr. Vega has played a key role in multiple product launches and the development and implementation of training programs for sales and technical personnel for a variety of medical devices and biomaterials.
